Clubs and Associations

There are many clubs running at Curtin that you can get involved in and enrich your university experience. Full details are available from the Guild Website. Here are some that are relevant to our Faculty:

 

Academic Clubs

Association of Chemical Engineering Students - ACES

ACES is a club which is committed to staff and students of the Department of Chemical Engineering.  The club provides networking opportunities between industrial employers, Curtin staff and students, and organise social and academic activities which support student through their studies at Curtin.  These include the famous ACES ball, competitions and informal gatherings. More information and contact details

Computer Science Students Association – COMSSA

COMSSA is a student body dedicated to representing students within the department of computing. COMSSA supplies its own common room which provides access to kitchen facilities and a relaxing environment. They also provide course related resources including lecture notes, software and other items. Social activities are also organised regularly during semesters. More information and contact details

Curtin Engineers Club – CEC

The CEC is one of the biggest clubs on campus which aims to enhance the social and academic lives of its members.
The club organises many social functions every year including pub-crawls, sundowners, end and beginning of semester bashes and the Engineers and Nurses Ball. The academic side of university life is supported with the offering of seminars including interview techniques and resume writing skills.
The club also  offers inter-club sporting competitions in sports such as cricket, football and soccer. More information and contact details


Curtin Robotics Club

To foster and promote the development and use of robotics and electronic devices.  This will be provided through means of information sessions, collaborative projects, public presentations and in-club competitions.

Students of Curtin University Maths - SCUM

SCUM provides mathematics students at Curtin academic and social support. The Club hopes to provide representation of math’s students to the Guild, department and the division.
